Center Collision is an independently owned, family-run collision repair shop founded by Kevin and Debbie House in 1995. For over 30 years, our team has provided Tacoma and Pierce County drivers with certified vehicle repair and personal customer care.
“I’ve been in the automotive industry ever since graduating from Franklin Pierce High School in 1982. Center Collision started as a hobby, working out of my home garage while I worked part-time at UPS, until I decided to follow my dream full-time. Debbie and I established the shop in 1995, the same year we were married and began starting our family, which grew to include six wonderful children, three boys and three girls.
“As our business and family grew, space became tight. We moved twice before purchasing our commercial property at 1111 Center Street in 2005. With plenty of hard work and help from friends, we opened at our permanent location. Our building has great Tacoma history as the former ‘Spout & Toad Restaurant,’ famous for serving burgers, fries, and frog legs to local city workers, Tacoma police, and even the ’70s band The Ventures. Over the years, we expanded from paint jobs to full insurance collision repair, accepting all Washington insurers, serving partners like Hertz and JBLM, and adding a full detail shop.”
